Basic Skills Program

Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, the PFSC Learn to Skate Basic Skills Classes at Schenley Park will not be held during the 2020-21 season.  Please check back in the fall for the 2021-22 class.

Classes include a 50-minute group lesson plus additional practice and free skating period each week.  It also includes USFS Basic Skills Membership, level evaluations, patch, certificate, and end of season show and party.  Skate rental is available but not included.  It is open to age 3 to adult.

The club will need additional help with marketing/promotion, and lots of skaters to be our volunteer instructions, plus non-skaters to help with donuts/hot chocolate, registration, etc.

The Pittsburgh Figure Skating Club sponsors the “Learn to Skate USA” program at the Schenley Park Ice Rink, located on Overlook Drive in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh.  It offers classes for all ages and abilities – for tots to adults.
