Learning to Skate at Schenley

Sunday, January 12:  Schenley Park Learning to Skate program begins!  We are very excited to have ice back at Schenley as this event is PFSC’s biggest fundraiser of the year.  We are in need of volunteers to help with registration, tying laces, selling hot cocoa and donuts, lead coaches and assistant coaches.  We are also looking for Dunkin Donut gift cards, which will go toward your volunteer hours as well.  This is an 8 week program with two dates built in at the end for make up days.  Dates include: 1/12, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 3/2 and 3/9.  Make up dates are 3/16 & 3/23. The PFSC Learn to Skate Basic Skills Classes are held at the Schenley Park Ice Rink.  Classes include a 30-minute group lesson starting at 10:30 plus additional practice and free skating period each week. Skate rental is available but not included.  It is open to age 3 to adult with parents encouraged to assist with the youngest skaters.
