Basic Skills Program

The PFSC Learn to Skate Basic Skills Classes are held at the Schenley Park Ice Rink.  Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances at the rink, we will not be able to offer the Basic Skills classes this winter.  Hope to see you next year for the 2024-25 sessions.

Classes include a 30-minute group lesson plus additional practice and free skating period each week.    Skate rental is available but not included.  It is open to age 3 to adult with parents encouraged to assist with the youngest skaters.

The club will need additional help with marketing/promotion, and lots of skaters to be our volunteer instructions, plus non-skaters to help with donuts/hot chocolate, registration, etc.

The Pittsburgh Figure Skating Club sponsors the “Learn to Skate USA” program at the Schenley Park Ice Rink, located on Overlook Drive in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh.  It offers classes for all ages and abilities – for tots to adults.
