Five PFSC members attended the 2011 State Games of America. Run like a "mini-Olympic" event, there was an opening ceremony and events for the athletes from across the country. Our skaters worked hard to qualify for the event at the Keystone State Games in February and the outcome at the final Games was great. In 2013 the State Games of America will be held in Hershey, PA! It would be great to have more PFSC skaters qualify to attend!

The results are as follows:

Libby McGrosky - 2nd freestyle, 2nd compulsory moves, 1st footwork program

Elspeth Cunningham - 1st freestyle, 1 compulsory moves, 4th Pre-Gold Dance

Kiana Geiger - 1st freestyle, 1st compulsory moves

Megan Tierney - 2nd freestyle, 4th compulsory moves

Emma Ross - 4th freestyle, 2nd compulsory moves, 2nd interpertive

The girls proudly carried the PFSC Banner and wore the PFSC vest they were permitted to have for the event.

In July, six of our skaters, with coaches Ryan Devereaux and Rachel Lane-McCarthy, competed at the 2011 Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships: Alannah Binotto, Angelique Hudec, Colleen Kenny, Megan Kirkpatrick, Kristina Slivchenko, and Jennifer sun. The following girls who competed qualified for the 2011 National Solo Dance Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado on September 23-25, 2011. Congratulations!
