Attention:  Figure Skating School Directors, Coaches, and Skaters

Invitation for your skaters to compete in an international figure skating competition.  Skaters of all ages and abilities are invited to this competition.

The Tri-Americas International Figure Skating Competition consists of two competitions held simultaneously in one city.  The ICS competition, (International Competitive Skater), is open to all members of United States Figure Skating, Skate Canada and ISU member nations*, and will be judged by international judges.  The second competition being held simultaneously will be for members of ISI Skating organization.

Mexico City was selected as the host city for 2008.  The ICS competition will be held in the northern portion of the city, while the ISI competition will be held in the southern portion of the city.

This event was designed to give skaters and coaches the experience of participating in an international skating event, and to help encourage skaters to continue their competitive skating trek.  There is also a planned competitor's party to be held on June 21st, after the last skating event.

Tri-Americas International wanted to select a city that would allow skaters, their families, friends and coaches the opportunity to enjoy the excitement of traveling to a foreign country, yet be affordable to get to.  Mexico City was chosen as the city that could offer it all.  Mexico City is a modern city,  with many parks, museums, shopping malls, wide boulevards, and restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines.  It's also a city rich in history and culture.  So there's always something to do during your stay.

Travel to Mexico City is easily reached from almost any location in the world.  There are some airlines offering promotions such as "buy 4, get 1 free ** offer, so it's a good way for a coach or family member to travel for free.  There are some restrictions, so please check with our travel management company , Traveltrust, for more details.

For those that wish to extend their travel experience after the competition, you can arrange to visit other cities and/or resorts throughout Mexico.

We want to thank you for taking to consider our invitation, and kindly ask you to please post our attached announcements in your ice skating facility, coaches rooms, etc.  The announcement and entry form  is available by email, but has been downloaded to our website for 2008, but for convenience have attached to this email.  I'm also attaching an "Intent to Participate" form.  This form is help forecast the number of rooms we need to block for the hotel as space may be limited.

Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have, triamericas@traveltrust.com

Best Regards,

 Chairman, Tri-Americas International LLC
