Today the PFSC celebrated the astounding 33 skater Today the PFSC celebrated the astounding 33 skaters we have registered for the National Qualifying Series! Club members, family, friends, and coaches were encouraged to sign a poster for each skater, wishing them luck during this upcoming season! Skaters also exchanged small gifts with each other! Good luck to everyone this season!
Please join us in celebrating the National Qualify Please join us in celebrating the National Qualifying Series Competitors for the upcoming season tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 10am - 2:00pm. Juvenile-Senior Competitors will have posters for skaters, coaches, friends and family to sign. All competitors will have goodie bags that you are encouraged to add small items to, wishing them a great season ahead (ex: candy, notes, kleenex...be creative!). The Pittsburgh Figure Skating Club has 33 members (WOW) registering for the National Qualifying Series this season. Snacks will be provided for everyone, so please join us in the long hallway alongside the Olympic Rink.

Many skaters had personal bests and made it to podium! It was incredible to watch so many skaters truly shine!! DON’T FORGET!! Each year, the Pittsburgh Figure S DON’T FORGET!! Each year, the Pittsburgh Figure Skating Club awards trophies to club members for progress and points in testing and competitions. As the 2025-2026 season is coming to a close, applications are now open for the Sutton 6.0, Elena Valova IJS, and Aviva Katz trophies which will be presented at recognition night in August. Please submit applications by July 7 if you or your skater competed IJS or 6.0 this past season. Competitions must have occurred between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026. The attached forms should be printed, completed, and turned in at the RMU Island Sports Center Front Desk. Please ensure “Pittsburgh Figure Skating Club” is on the envelope. Please note that the Valova and Sutton forms require a coach signature. Please consider nominating a skater for the Aviva Katz trophy which honors Aviva’s grit to overcome obstacles through her love of skating. The Katz trophy nomination is entirely electronic and can be submitted online. Any person – skater, parent, coach, or judge — can nominate any club member (except their own child).
