On behalf of RMU Island Sports Center, we would like to cordially invite all coaches & skaters to attend the 19th Annual Shamrock Skate Compete USA Open Competition at RMU Island Sports Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

The competition will feature events from the Learn to Skate USA – Compete USA competition structure featuring all levels of Snowplow Sam, Basic 1 – 6, Pre-Freeskate – FS 6 and US FS Levels of No Test – Preliminary.

In addition to the traditional events of compulsory moves and freestyle – we have added the spin, jump and showcase (see level details for participation)

We are also excited to offer Synchronized Skating events for Synchro Teams: S.S. 1 – 2 -3

Skaters are welcome to enter as many events that are associated with your skating level at Compete USA.

Compete USA Events will feature:

All Skaters must be current members with a Learn to Skate USA program or US FS Club or Individual Membership

Snowplow Sam- Basic 6: Elements & Program with Music
Pre-Free Skate-Free Skate 1-6: Compulsory & Program with Music
Excel Compulsory Moves & Excel Free Skate with Music
Well Balanced Levels: Compulsory Moves, Jump Event, Spin Event & Free Skate with Music
Adult: Adult 1-6, Beginner –Bronze: Compulsory Moves & Free Skate with Music, Jump Event: Beginner – Bronze
Solo Patterned Dance: Preliminary – Bronze levels – NEW EVENT!
Individual Showcase Events: Dramatic & Light Entertainment: NEW EVENTS!
Snowplow Sam – Basic 6, Pre-Free Skate – FS 6, Beginner- Preliminary, Adults
Couples Duet Showcase: Snowplow Sam – Basic 6, Pre-Free Skate – FS 6, Beginner- Preliminary, Adults
Synchronized Team Skating: Basic 1, 2 & 3, Preliminary
Hockey Skills: Basic Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 – NEW!!

Please return applications to RMU Island Sports Center no later than Friday, February 8, 2019. A competition schedule will be posted on our website & sent to all skaters & coaches who provide a legible email address. Applications received after Friday, February 8 may not be accepted based on registration and ice time availability.

For your convenience, there is a full service snack bar and pro-shop located inside the facility. Locker rooms will be available to competitors during the competition.

Awards will be given to all skaters: Medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places, Ribbons for 4th & 5th places (no more than 5 skaters in a group) Express Awards on competition day: Awards will be presented, at the award podium, to skaters immediately following event placement posting.
